Leading Upwelling Group is the culmination of a 20+ year career as a marketing, content and media executive. During that time, Lee has invented revenue streams for companies, revitalized brands, set strategy, won customers, and pushed businesses forward.
He’s done these things - and a lot more - by thinking like an entrepreneur, seeing opportunities that others don’t, building and leading amazing teams, executing at the highest level, and delivering against business goals. Lee was previously Chief Marketing Officer of Green Roads, where he transformed a commodity company in a crowded market into a human-centric wellness brand that customers love. Prior to Green Roads, Lee had a successful track record as a senior executive at Hearst, Yahoo, and Time Inc. In those roles, he built and led marketing and content teams, drove considerable revenue growth, created multiple go-to-market pitches, innovated new products, architected meaningful partnerships, and exceeded goals. A true left brain/right brain thinker, Lee has an MBA from Columbia University and an MFA in Motion Picture Producing from USC.




Matt Haimm is an accomplished creative director, team leader, and designer. He has led the creation of unified brand identities, run creative teams, led website and ecommerce site redesigns, and created design systems for CPG packaging. Matt now runs Minerva Creative Co. a boutique design agency helping business owners bridge the gap between business goals and creative solutions.
